Caleb

Time has frozen still in our little country,

at extremely high speeds,

shuffled around by the shrill cry of maniacal banshees

cleverly disguised as our two older offspring.

The clocks have turned their backs to us now,

while we await the next cat-like wail from our ravenous infant

whose burpless meanderings turned disastrous have helped

to create the avalanche of laundry next to the washer.

And life goes on still, even as we linger for news from my doctor

on the possibility of post-operative pneumonia or worse,

but somehow, even so, time has stood still in our small microcosm,

scandalized by the sudden entrance of one small little creature named Caleb.

So are you home or in the hospital? I'm praying for you. And, oh, I remember well the timeless days and nights of a newborn and little, little siblings. He is beautiful.

He's so beautiful! But that's no surprise with such a beautiful mama. As far as awaiting the news -- remember what the Lord has brought you through -- from the electrocution to the almost abduction to the most recent deliverance. God has not brought you through all this to let us down. One little sidenote: "who's" should be "whose" :)

Awwwwe! No fair, Michelle! There's gotta be some of me in him too!! :)

Kate -- I am home, but have been having lower right-lung pain, and the urgent care doctor thinks it might possibly be pneumonia (or worse???). He wants me to have a mammogram!! Why, I don't know. Thanks so much for your prayers. And any sound wisdom you have for me in these formative childrearing years is GREATLY appreciated!! :) Blessings!!

Mama, you are always right. Thank you for the reminder. He is always faithful. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

I just said a little prayer for you, and will again as the Lord brings you to mind. Cuddle up, start a fire, and enjoy this time when your kids can't get away from you. All too soon, days like this will be a privilege! =)

Awe! Precious baby boy!
I love the line, "cleverly disguised as our two older offspring"
You are so gifted! :)
I am praying for the pains and that the doctors quickly figure out what it is. (and that it be somethign SIMPLE!)
Or better yet, A MIRACLE Lord! To show YOUR GLORY!
