I will rise to meet Thy likeness
beside the dawn of day
humbly, I beseech Your presence.

Beyond this fermenting nature
lies the simple emptiness
without You.

I hunger to know
who you are, my Creator,
to intimately discern the One
who loves me far better than anyone.

Fill me with You
and kill the me that is still there.
